As anticipated,
the tragic terrorist attack today Sunday, June 12, 2016 on a night club in
Orlando which left at least 50 victims dead and over 50 victims injured, was
used by President Obama in his White House Press Brief to further his anti-gun
and anti-second amendment agenda in his masterfully delivered propaganda.
President
Barrack Obama states:
“Today marks
the deadliest shooting in American history. The shooter was apparently armed
with a handgun and a powerful assault rifle. This massacre is therefore a
further reminder of how easy it is for someone to get their hands on a weapon
that lets them shoot people in a school, or in a house of worship, or a movie
theater, or in a nightclub. And we have to decide if that’s the kind of country
we want to be. And to actively do nothing is a decision as well.”
As what is
known at time of this writing already and which even President Obama called a
terrorist attack, the above statement of President Obama is simply categorically
false and intentionally misleading for all those who cannot think on their own.
Clearly, today
marks the deadliest terrorist attack committed by a radical Islamic Terrorist
since 9/11. But as usual, the words radical Islamic Terrorists were never
mentioned by our President.
Today’s
terrorist attack is really not “a reminder of how easy it is for someone to get
their hands on weapons”. The terrorist was a licensed and trusted security
guard who purchased at least two firearms legally under full scrutiny of a
security back ground check.
Not only recent
history is evident that “a weapon that lets them shoot people in a school, or
in a house of worship, or a movie theater, or in a nightclub”, is not needed
for deadly terrorist attacks. Maybe it would make the anti-gun and second
amendment critics and opponents better if the terrorist would have detonated a
suicide vest or any other explosive device. There seems to be no shortage on
any such Improvised Explosive Devices nor on instructions and materials to
build such IED’s.
There really is
not much of a decision to make in regards to “we have to decide if that’s the
kind of country we want to be. And to actively do nothing is a decision as
well.”. I can tell you now it is not the kind of country I want it to be.
A country where
a lone radical Islamic Terrorist all by himself can assault an entire night
club filled with over 350 people including security personnel, kill and injure
more than 100 people, finds time and opportunity to call 911, over the period
of at least 3 hours and apparently none of the 350 victims is able to defend themselves
with a firearm and kill that fanatical Islamic Terrorist.
Even the State
of Israel in which a strict gun control is enforced had to admit that gun
control does not curb terrorism when just recently the Israeli Government
appealed to their licensed gun-owners to start carrying their firearms to
defend against increasing Palestinian terror attacks committed with knifes,
cars and yes, firearms.
