Union and Water Crisis at the Aria

By Elmer Whittaker

In the past year I have been playing a lot of poker at the Aria and Bellagio Both Casinos are part of MGM Resorts where I happened to play a lot here in Las Vegas off and on for almost 30 years.

Naturally, most Poker Dealers and Poker Room staff are very familiar with me and even many Cocktail Waitresses often know me by sight and some even remember what I usually drink. Coffee in a paper cup and water.

And that’s what I usually order when I get to a poker room. Black coffee in a paper cup and a bottle of FIJI water. Sometimes when I first get to the poker room and feel dehydrated, I order a black coffee and two bottles of water. Usually without a problem. Then once I’m all coffeed out, I just order one or two bottles of water for the rest of the night.

Gun Owners Not Welcome at the Wynn’s!

By Elmer Whittaker

I had a late start playing poker and it was already close to midnight on Saturday July 30, 2016 when I called into the Wynn’s Poker Room to have my name put on the waiting list for a poker game. At around 0:15 am Sunday morning I arrived at the Wynn’s Poker Room and automatically sought and stop by the security guard stationed at the entrance of the poker room where they routinely search all bags and suitcases brought into the poker room for inspection.

The Most Corrupt State In The Union

By Elmer Whittaker

Having lived in numerous states and cities including New York City in the 80’s and remembering well the news footage from of the police corruption before, during and after Katrina I was convinced that New Orleans was the most corrupt city making Louisiana the most corrupt state.

Tasha Heath & Cindy Lake: Ungraceful, Ungrateful and Shameful

Tasha Heath
By Elmer Whittaker

Never in my wildest dream could I imagine that someday someone would laugh and supposedly disbelieve me when revealing that my original acquired profession is that of a “marketer”. I mean I didn’t exactly claim to have been an astronaut, a racecar driver or a rocket scientist. But there you have it.

Idiot’s Guide to Clark County Politics

By Elmer Whittaker

In the Clark County Republicans Facebook Group Mike and Mesia K Aly-McFadden wrote:

Mike McFadden: LOL, nutty wife? Aren't you the one who talks about himself in third person because you maintain two different FB identities and pretend you can speak one way while logged in as one, then speak differently when logged in as the other? Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha... and you call anyone else a nut? The only tantrum that occurred that day was yours, because of your dual personality situation. LMFAO!

A Challenge For The Liars

By Elmer Whittaker

“Anyone accusing me of lies and speaking anything but the truth is welcome to present the evidence. But make no mistake about it, I will use private messages and emails without hesitations and post them publicly to expose any and all lies and slander about me. I see absolutely nothing wrong or unethical with that when faced with slander and lies. Not even if it’s the messages or emails of your friends who are covering up for your lies. Try me!”

“Crushing” Cindy Lake

Cindy Lake
By Elmer Whittaker

Jason Smith current Vice Chairman of the Libertarian Party of Nevada and Candidate for Clark County Commission District F is continuing to spread the lies and fabrications that I have/had a crush on Cindy Lake and made flirtatious advances towards her and since I was turned down I now have a vendetta against him, because Cindy didn’t become Vice Chair of the Libertarian Party of Nevada and a vendetta against Cindy herself because she has turned my advances down.

This is yet another complete lie and fabrication.

Fracking Jason Smith?

By Elmer Whittaker

How pitiful of Jason Smith, Vice Chairman of the Libertarian Party of Nevada. The product he is selling and for which he started a brand new company for, is still too expensive for most of the Fracking industry to use. Considering he started a company selling this product that is still too expensive, I’m sure it will come done in price so he can finally turn a profit from Fracking.

The Drama for the Vice-Chair of the Libertarian Party of Nevada

By Elmer Whittaker

Shortly after Cindy Lake had joined the Libertarian Party of Nevada back in October 2013, Cindy and me had a little chat on Facebook messenger about whether she might be interested to run for party office in the upcoming convention. We were talking about running her for Vice-Chairman to which Cindy showed immediate interest. However, we both thought that after all this time it would be unfair to Jason Smith who was running already for Vice-Chair in Brett Pojunis’ slate, and so we scrapped the idea.

Increased, more Potent and Dramatic Activism

By Elmer Whittaker

The past few weeks have been particularly upsetting to me as I am still very sensitive and emotionally engaged personally, when it comes to matters of corruption, abuse of power and blatant injustices.

White Cross Drugs

by Elmer Whittaker

Late one afternoon, coming from a doctor’s visit, I felt this urgent need for some comfort food. I was around the Las Vegas Blvd./Oakey Blvd. area, when I remembered the coffee shop at White Cross Drugs Pharmacy. I know, that doesn’t sound very appealing for a coffee shop but I’m sure the old-timers amongst us will remember.

The Trouble with Firearms at VON’S

by Elmer Whittaker

Some months ago late at night on my way home I stopped by at the VON’S Supermarket here in Las Vegas to pick up some groceries, just as I have been frequently doing off and on for the past 20 years carrying my firearm openly in its holster on my hip.

Marijuana Decriminalization in Nevada

By Elmer Whittaker

On Friday March 15, 2013 Las Vegas Assemblyman Joe Hogan (D) introduced a bill to decriminalize marijuana to the Nevada State Assembly. Assemblyman Joe Hogan (D) not only cited societal benefits and the legalization of marijuana for medical purposes in his bill, but stretched the remarkable medical benefits of the plant.

Mandatory Drug Testing in Las Vegas

By Elmer Whittaker

Some time ago I went to see my Doctor in Las Vegas for my 3 months check-up and to get some refills on some of the medications I take. I used to take Oxycodone pain pills along with the muscle relaxant Valium for my back and knee pain. I have since stepped down to Percocet pain pills who seem to prove more effective for me.

Las Vegas Family Court Security

By Elmer Whittaker

A while back I had to go to Las Vegas in order to get copies of papers from the Clark County Family and Juvenile Court.
When entering the courthouse, I naturally had to go through a security checkpoint where I, as usual, emptied my pockets, and in this case, I had to take my belt off too, before stepping through the scanner. Unfortunately, I was caught still wearing my shoes. This was a security breach and had marshals materialize right in front of me out of thin air.

Las Vegas Resort Rip-Off

By Elmer Whittaker

Apparently for some years now, Las Vegas’ Hotel Casino Resorts are using a nasty rip-off scheme to lure in unsuspecting visitors and outdo their competition of Hotels without casino operation.
